Last year, the Anderson County Museum partnered with the Anderson Area Remembrance and Reconciliation Initiative to create a permanent display, “The Earth Remembers,” which honors the memory of five racial terror lynchings in Anderson County from 1894 to 1911.

This year, we are continuing the conversation as we host a panel that will be discussing their experiences during a racially segregated South Carolina. Join us at the Anderson County Museum on February 27 at 5:30 PM as we host “Important Conversations: Remembrance and Reconciliation” with the goal of moving towards the Beloved Community described by Martin Luther King, Jr.
